Hi, My name is Egbert but my friends call me "Bert". I've come back to GEGR through no faulty of my own. My mom and dad were unable to care for me any longer so they asked GEGR to take me back. I'm adjusting to life here at my foster home and like basking in sunshine in the yard now that the weather is getting cooler. Don't let my age fool you. While I am almost 11 and a little grey, I am as wise as ever. Like a typical Greyhound, I enjoy eating and napping. I also enjoy investigating all things in the yard. This is important work so I usually make the rounds in the morning and evening, mostly after breakfast and dinner. I like to know who has been in the yard so I sniff the bushes and grass and trees and deck and the fence and the grass and the trees and the deck....oh well, you get the point. My foster family is taking such good care of me I feel it's my doggie duty to be sure the yard remains patrolled on a regular basis. :-)
I'm going to be having a dental cleaning this week and foster mom keeps telling me something about swimming! She says that it'll be good for me. I know nothing of this swimming stuff but if it involves sniffing then I'm all in!!
I'm going to be up for adoption soon so check back. I am good with other dogs and kitty's. I'm a lover not a fighter. I'm looking for a permanent home, cushy dog beds and a couple good meals a day. I travel well in the car, but need a hand getting into vehicles. I'm good on steps, but a little slow going up and down. I'm champ of the ramp! I like some petting and snuggling but I'm not the "in your face" kind of guy. I can give you your space. My foster family keeps telling me how sweet I am (I think it sounds kind of girly but it's usually followed by yummy treats and petting so I'm good with it).
If you're available and looking for a good man, then keep watching my blog and fill out an application to meet me!! www.GEGR.org for more information.
